Ida Township
Ida Township lies in Douglas County, Minnesota. It was organized in 1870. The township includes approximately 23,040 acres. The 2010 federal census population of the township was 1,228, the April 2010 Minnesota State Demographer population is 1,228 with 512 estimated households.
Lake Ida, Lake Charley, a portion of Lake Chippewa and a few other smaller lakes are in Ida Township as well as rural and farm areas. The City of Garfield is located on the Southwest corner of Ida Township.
There are four churches: Lake Chippewa Convenant, Lake Ida Evangelical Lutheran, St. John's Lutheran and St. Luke's Evangelical Lutheran.
There are five cemeterys: The Hjalmer Peterson Farm Burial site, Lake Charley Cemetery, Lake Ida Cemetery, St. John's Lutheran Cemetery and St. Lukes Lutheran Cemetery.
